Voice in context: An international comparative study of employee experience with voice in small and medium enterprises

چکیده
The study of employee voice in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across national contexts remains under-theorised under-studied. This paper uses Kaufman’s integrative model voice, an exploratory 30 interviews with employees non-unionised SMEs the United Kingdom, Thailand Nigeria, to compare experience impact this on behaviour at work. Findings show that interaction between external institutional context internal SME (organisational configuration, governance structure contingencies employment relationship) impacts agency, perceived levels and, ultimately, behaviour. contributes theory by offering analysis determinants specific from international comparative perspective, presents these initial framework explains how workplaces.
